At Above and Beyond Housing, our mission is to provide affordable, secure and supportive housing for individuals in need. Born out of the intensifying necessity for affordable housing in LA County, Above and Beyond Housing is focused on creating a community where individuals come together to support one another through housing first.
We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. Our commitment is grounded in compassion, mutual aid, and the power of collective resilience. By fostering a supportive environment, we enable our residents to overcome adversity and rebuild their lives. By living together we are encouraged to help one another do just that!
Founded in 2022 after sustaining a work related injury, its founder put everything aside to focus on finding a solution to the growing problem of homelessness that was seemingly taking over the city. Now that she had time allowing her to focus on her passion of helping those most in need she reached out to the largest non-profit organisations in the area to acquire statistics on where the biggest need was. Thus, Above and Beyond Housing was born at the end of April and welcomed its first client in May.
